Tickera is officially a teenager now

2025 was the year Tickera officially became a teenager. Thirteen years old. Old enough to have an identity, opinions, confidence, and a personality… but young enough to still need guidance, direction, and the occasional “hey, don’t do that, it’s for your own good.” And like any teenager, Tickera is growing fast, learning constantly, and becoming more capable every year. But also like any teenager, it benefits enormously from people who know how to steer it in the right direction.

Listening has been in our DNA since 2012

Ever since Tickera launched back in 2012, one thing has shaped the plugin more than anything else: the ideas and experiences of the people actually using it. You can see proof of that in our Solutions section, which reads like a museum of brilliant, unexpected, often wonderfully practical ideas submitted by real event organizers solving real problems. And if you’ve read our recent Tickera in 2026: refined, reliable, ready post, you know that a huge part of our future direction comes directly from these everyday insights.

Even now, after more than a decade, the best improvements to Tickera still start with someone sending us an email that begins with “I figured something out…” or “This might sound strange, but…” or “You probably didn’t intend it to work like this, but look what I did.” Those messages are gold. They’re the little nudges that help us shape Tickera into something that feels natural to newcomers and powerful to advanced users. They’re the gentle hand on the shoulder guiding our “teenager” away from the wrong crowd and toward a brighter path.

At the end of many of our blog posts, we invite users to share their clever ideas or workflows. The truth is… not many do. And it’s completely understandable. Most event organizers have a hundred things to manage on any given day. If something works, they move on. But we would genuinely love to hear from you more often.

You might think your solution is trivial. You might think your niche setup only matters to a tiny handful of people. You might think that combining two shortcodes creatively isn’t worth mentioning, or that your unique way of handling volunteer check-ins or customer follow-ups isn’t important. But the truth is: those tiny adjustments often turn into features, or documentation additions, or use cases that save someone else an enormous amount of time.

 

Small ideas make a big difference

We don’t need essays. We don’t need flowcharts. We don’t need detailed diagrams of your ticketing ecosystem. We simply want to know what you do with Tickera that makes your everyday routine smoother, faster, or less stressful. And if it’s something that can help others, we’ll make sure it finds its place in the documentation, the Solutions section, or even in the next update of the plugin itself.
